We recently added a powder room to the basement of this home. It was a great opportunity for us to help the family simplify their days. After the plumber added his lines, The project began with framing the area in. We then strategically hung the drywall around piping and duct work (ceilings of this basement are low to begin). Then skimmed the floor to assure a level surface for tile installation. Finishing the sheet rock is next: tape and mud, sand and mud, sand, mud and sand again! (This part of the process is always so dusty!) Next up, prime all walls and 2 coats of paint. The client chose a dark blue accent wall, with a softer blue for the rest of the room. Vanity, sink, mirror and door were next in line. Lastly, waiting on the flooring and the plumber to hook up faucet fixtures and set the toilet. We love adding value to one of our client’s most valued possessions!
